The cost of coal is lower than oil. The existing coal reserves are larger than the oil reserves. The electric power sector, the general industrial sector and others are expected to cause coal to be in demand as a source of energy that can be stably supplied.

Ube Coal Center is one of the largest coal relay stations in Japan. It stores coal, petroleum coke and biomass fuels (PKS and PBT^®) transported from different places around the world and delivers them to our facilities as well as to customers mainly in western Japan, but also in the rest of Japan. In response to customers' requests, we carry out coal blending and screening services.
