Ube Shipping & Logistics, Ltd.(now MU Arcline Corporation) is established.

Ube Chemical Ind. Co., Ltd. and CALCEED Co., Ltd. Merge to form Ube Material Industries, Ltd. (made a whollyowned subsidiary in 2013).

Forms comprehensive business tie-up with Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and establishes Ube-Mitsubishi Cement Corporation.
